• Cooperative Dollhouse - During the 2010-2011 year, rather than have a club project, MEE members worked together on decorating and furnishing a donated dollhouse with story book and nursery rhyme themes. We broke into groups and each group took on one room of the house and created furniture and accessories that reflected favorite childhood stories and tales. Upon completion, and after showing it off at our Show and Sale, the house was donated to the St. Albert Public Library, where children and their parent's continue to enjoy it's whimsey and details. You can see the house on the Kids' Table page of this website  HERE.
  • Canada in Miniature - as part of the celebration of Canada's 150th birthday in 2017, each club member was challenged to find and frame 5 pictures that were iconically Canadian. From the Rocky Mountains to Tim Horton's, from hockey to Anne of Green Gables, from William Shatner to to the Canadarm on the International Space Station, club members complied. This is the result. The finished display was exhibited widely, and featured in the local papers. Eventually, it was transported to Ontario to help celebrate Canada at the Gathering. As the climax to the final banquet, attendees were allowed to select one of the framed miniatures to take home with them as a present from Alberta.

  • Giving Back to the Community - Each year, MEE donates part of the proceeds from our Annual Show and Sale to the Edmonton and St. Albert Food Banks, as well as to WIN House, a shelter for women at risk. Women supporting women!
